With December finally here, we're bringing you CTown's Christmas Cocktail Countdown! Every 5 days, we will be sharing a different Christmas cocktail for you and your friends and family to enjoy.
First up: Ponche de Ron. Ponche de Ron is a rum spiked Egg Nog originating in the Dominican Republic. It is a Christmas favorite for the adults! Check out our recipe for homemade Ponche de Ron below:
What you'll need:
- Evaporated milk
- Condensed milk
- Egg yolks
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
Directions:
- In a bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and egg yolks.
- Once mixed, sieve our the undissolved egg parts
- Add cinnamon and nutmeg
- Put the mixture into a pot and cook over low heat for 40 minutes.
- Let mixture cool, add rum, and store in the fridge until ready to drink.
