In continuing our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we're sharing another recipe from our friend Marisel Salazar @mariselmsalazar! She created a delicious Arroz con Leche, prepared in a traditional Pananmanian style, where she is from. Tag us on Instagram @ctown.supermarkets when you recreate this dessert!
Ingredients:

2 cups of white long grain rice

2 liters of milk

2 cinnamon sticks

1 can evaporated milk

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

1 cup raisins

Cinnamon powder to serve
Directions:

Rinse rice until water runs clear.

Add rice to a heavy bottom pan over medium high heat along with milk and cinnamon sticks.

Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until rice begins to soften. Remove cinnamon sticks.

Reduce heat to low and add evaporated and sweetened condensed milks and vanilla until combined, cooking for about 10 more minutes. Add raisins and stir.

Remove from heat. Serve warm or chilled with a dash of cinnamon powder.
