- Plantains
- Oil
- Water
- Salt
- Butter
Directions
- Peel the skin off the plantains
- Cut each plantain horizontally on an diagonal angle (should get 5 - 8 slices, depending on plantain size)
- Fry slices in a skillet and hot oil for 3 - 4 minutes, or until golden color
- Transfer plantain slices to a flat surface, like a plate or cutting board and press down using a tostoñera or another plate, to flatten each plantain
- Place plantains back in oil and fry for approximately 1 minute
- Add salt for flavor and enjoy!
