The Greater New York Metro Area has nearly 30,000 acres of land devoted to recreational activities and events. There are over 5,000 individual properties ranging from Coney Island Beach, Central Park and Prospect Park, to community gardens, playgrounds, zoos and aquariums, and picnic and barbecue locations.
